We ask God to move mountains, but forget that God also wants to move us.
In fact, it’s possible we are that mountain.

There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

Anaïs Nin

I had long forgotten about this quote I once had written in my journal. When I came across it again tonight, it seemed fitting with the Blushing Bluebell Bokeh I recently shot, and a fear I am trying to overcome. Maybe, like me, you are struggling to walk courageously into something new. Let this be your reminder to boldly step out into faith today and receive all God has for you.

On Sunday, we took a short day trip. Strolling along the icy beach, I was lulled by the rolling waves. The artist in me began noticing the beauty in the simple-the thick sea foam with its perfect curves, and the patterns on the sand after each lapping wave was pulled back out into that vast ocean. It wasn’t the beautiful mountains off in the distance that caught my attention this time. Grabbing my camera, I snapped these minimalistic Sea Foam Simplicity shots.

Itching to explore and find new places to shoot, we took a road less travelled this past Saturday. Now that the weather is warming up, back roads that have been covered in snow for months, have begun to melt, making travel easier. Coming upon this incredible overlook, I was able to capture Bear Mountain Pano. This hidden gem on the first day of spring was a spectacular find. As the thaw continues, I can’t wait to be given more access to God’s incredible creation so I can share fresh shots of spring with you.

It was so refreshing to get out into the cool, crisp air this weekend. It had warmed up quite a bit and was a whole 42 degrees. The snow was beginning to melt and we were blessed with sunshine and beautiful blue skies. Signs of spring and new hope were among us. It wasn’t difficult to snap some gorgeous shots of God’s incredible creation. Multi-Peak Pano was one of those that I was able to capture this past Saturday.

Mountain in the Middle

I snapped this Mountain in the Middle at one of our favorite spots in Alaska. It’s a beautiful campground with an incredible view. Just a stop off the highway, with a large frozen lake, and grandiose mountains, there are few visitors in the winter. We often have this place all to ourselves, making it extremely quiet and peaceful. This place of solitude is where I can really feel the presence of God.

Eagle Eye Up High

It’s Majestic Marvel Monday! Since Mondays can often be one of the tougher days of the week and for many, it means back to the daily grind, what better way to put a smile on your face than to marvel at His majestic wonders! I absolutely love photography! It is both a creative outlet and passion that brings me joy. So, each Monday, I will post at least one photo of God’s majestic marvels I’ve captured. See and be in awe of His creations and beauty!

Going stir-crazy again with cabin fever, we headed out for another Sunday drive. To our surprise, we happened upon at least twenty bald eagles within a few minutes time span. My husband estimated thirty. There were more than ten circling above us in the sky with their wings stretched out soaring, and several in the trees perched on branches of various trees. I caught this Eagle Eye Up High, as we sped past.

Tonight, when I searched for a Bible verse to go along with this image, the one tugging at my heart was one of my favorites-

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -Isaiah 40:31

Maybe you need this reminder, like I do. Looking back on the day, and how weary I was feeling earlier, I can’t help but wonder if those eagles were there to remind me that my hope is in the Lord and to not take my focus off of Him. For He is the one who will renew my strength.
