The Mighty One

It’s Majestic Marvel Monday! Since Mondays can often be one of the tougher days of the week and for many, it means back to the daily grind, what better way to put a smile on your face than to marvel at His majestic wonders! I absolutely love photography! It is both a creative outlet and passion that brings me joy. So, each Monday, I will post at least one photo of God’s majestic marvels I’ve captured. See and be in awe of His creations and beauty! And, as an added bonus, I get to share a little bit of Alaska with y’all.

Today’s photo, The Mighty One, was captured in our backyard in Alaska. There was something about this lone leaf that I was particularly drawn to. Perhaps, it was because it was still standing in the dead of winter fighting the freezing temperatures. Perhaps, it was because it was one of the last ones standing, shouting “I will survive”, when most of the others had fallen. Perhaps, it reminded me a little bit of myself, holding on with all my might during the storms of life. Whatever it was, I couldn’t help but take several pictures of it. The symbolism and beauty of this leaf hanging on had me mesmerized.

Today’s photo, Peek-a-boo Shine, was shot last week, in the woods behind our cabin in Alaska. The sun was beginning to go down and I caught it playing Peek-a-boo in the snow-covered trees.

Today’s photo, Lacy Limbs, was shot on a family walk here in Alaska. As the sun shone brightly that day, I looked up into the cerulean sky and saw these frosty limbs outstretched, creating a lacy pattern above.

Today’s photo, Alpenglow Hush, was shot last week, after I casually peaked out my window and noticed the pink glow of the sunset. Realizing I only had minutes to capture this glimmer over the peaks, I yanked on my snow boots, threw on my jacket, ran out the door and began snapping.
